Happy Hunting! is very lucky in uniting a team of people with a wealth of experience in virtual worlds – and in virtual world TV too!
Cinders Vale, Presenter
Cinders came into Second Life back in 2006 at the urging of her real life cousin, Jeremey Ryan, especially since many of their friends from MYST:Uru Online were already here on the grid. She wandered around exploring, tried to stop rezzing stuff on my head, and worked on learning the ropes.
“We won’t mention that for a time I was the queen of freebies!” she says.
Once she discovered the Second Life‘s Cancer Survivors group and the American Cancer Society sim, she found a way to give back. Her involvement in the fight against cancer has grown over the years. She has been the Chair of the Makeover Magic Committee, served on the RFL Survivors/Caregivers Committee, and she’s been the Head of the 2011 RFL Survivors/Caregivers Committee. As a cancer survivor since 2002, she knows that every birthdays is a true reason to celebrate.
“One of the fun activities I discovered about Second Life were the HUNTS!” she says. “Big or small, that didn’t matter as long as I could be on the trail of those cool hunt gifts. Since I love exploring Second Life I couldn’t think of a better way to see new places. Impulse buying is certainly a side effect of doing hunts!”
Cinders is also the owner of the Nexus Arts Gallery in Broken Creek. Her main focus has been pottery and lamps, with some photography. Now she says that she is ready to really start challenging herself creatively. As the host for Happy Hunting!, she hopes you will become a regular viewer and audience member.
“Hunts are great fun and this show will be a great match for all you hunters out there. See you all in the studio soon!”
Rosamoo Mendelsohn, Hunt Reporter
Rosamoo loves hunting in Second Life: as a hunter, as an organizer and as a creator. With her partner, Xia Nishi, she is the co-developer of Hunt SL, which aims to present the most complete and up-to-date hunt information for SL’s hunt community.
“I am honored to be part of the Happy Hunting family. It’s great to have an excuse (like I really need one!) to go out everyday tracking down the fabulous gifts that designers offer to those willing to work for the prize!”
Petlove Petshop, Camera and Editor
Petlove was looking for a creative outlet when she discovered Second Life in 2006. As she learned her way around the virtual world, she developed new skills in areas that were virtually impossible in real life! Building, photography, fashion, and art were her primary passions until she discovered two old loves with new possibilities – performance art and machinimatography! Now she is delighted to work with some of the most talented teams of writers, producers, and performers in any capacity that results in a visual record of the beauty and creativity that abounds in Second Life. Petlove is Happy Hunting’s camera person and film editor. Send her a line!
Angie Mornington, Producer & Director
Angie is the former Host & Producer of Fabulous Fashion with Angie Mornington, which was produced by Perfect World Productions and broadcast on Treet TV. Angie is now an Executive Producer for the Treet TV Network, working as part of the management team overseeing general operations and handling publicity & social media. She is also the owner and designer for the furniture store eklectik. Angie is excited to join the Happy Hunting! production as Producer and Director. “The hunt community is Second Life is huge and we thought it would be exciting to produce a show dedicated to all things hunt.”
Saffia Widdershins, Executive Producer
Saffia is the presenter of the popular treet.tv show Designing Worlds (the show for design and designers in virtual worlds), and she is also the Executive Producer of that and of treet.tv’s art show – Metaverse Arts. She’s also the editor of the magazine Prim Perfect, the Homes and Gardens magazine that has over 21,000 subscribers.
“I’m really excited to see Happy Hunting! on the air,” says Saffia. “It’s such a fun show to work on – and it’s fun to watch too!”
MarkTwain White, “Where in the World is MarkTwain White?” segment – currently on hiatus
MarkTwain White is the co-ordinator between Linden Lab and the United Sailing Sims (a group of 12 owners who jointly work with LL to provide the Blake Sea Community Partnership). He is also the driving force behind an effort to preserve and promote Sims in Second Life by means of the Sim Preservation Project. He is also an avid amateur astronomer in RL and is presently planning to build a replica of the world famous Palomar Observatory in SL.
