Organizers reached back in time to develop their themes for the Greek Mythology Hunt and the Lost Treasure of the Inca Warrior, which is a Mad Pea hunt.

The April Showers Bring May Flowers Hunt and the Cutie Petite-ies Hunt offer a wide variety of gifts from furniture to clothes to garden accessories. Don’t miss the Be Glam Hunt if you are looking for a new wardrobe for the spring.

This week’s show highlight’s a couple of store hunts as well. Dragons Are Too Seldom opened a new larger store and celebrated with a hunt of full perm sculpts and wonderful oak textures. Chez Moi’s Mom’s Hunt is the first one to laud mother’s, but it won’t be the last.

The second part of the Fantasy Faire Hunt starts today at noon – but do take a break to catch up with all the news and views of our Happy Hunting show at 3pm! It’s been decided to extend shopping at the Faire by an extra day, till midnight on Monday 29th May – that’s in case any of us have any money left!

In other news – you may have read here (or elsewhere) about the amazing Hunt that is going on at the Fantasy Faire – the Hunt for the Key of Hope.

The Key of Hope Hunt

It’s been decided (and I’m actually not surprised in view of the huge amount of traffic that the Faire has been getting) that the second part of the Hunt should be paused and re-started on May 1st (definitely an appropriately witchy day in my part of the world!). The team behind it – the amazing Mad Peas and the awesome Fantasy Faire team have reluctantly decided that a rebuild of the systems will be needed. You can read full details here.

In the meantime, it does give Faire-goers the chance to explore the beautiful and mysterious Valley of Ish’Nar, created by Rynn Verwood, as that will be open to all until the Faire ends.

And the first part of the Hunt, which takes you across all the Faireland regions, has been extended by an extra day too – so you’ll have more chance to find all the elusive items that make up the Talisman.

The Hunt Begins …

The Hunt that everyone has been talking about – a collaboration between MadPea and Fantasy Faire – has now opened.

It looks to be both richly rewarding (in terms of gifts and immersion) and thoroughly challenging, and comes with a great back story which you can read here.

To play you will need to purchase the hud (costing 100 Linden) which will, when activated, set you on your way to finding items scattered across the Fairelands to create a Talisman which will give you entry to the Valley of Ish’Nar (as we featured on the Happy Hunting show on April 19th). Completing this part of the Hunt will also see you rewarded with what the Hunt organisers call “memories and mementos of your travels”.

But this is just the start. Once you’ve gained the Talisman, you will have access to the Final Chapter of the Hunt – which will actually be on the grid for a month after the Faire closes, giving people more chance of completing the Hunt – and winning some amazing prizes!

Then Cinders sets out across the grid to take a sneak peek at the Fantasy Faire and to talk to Zander Green (well known to Happy Hunting viewers as Harland Quinn in The Blackened Mirror), who is one of the Faire organisers and who may – just may – be willing to let out a few secrets about the The Key of Hope Hunt! The Faire started on Saturday 20th April, by the way, and the Hunt element gets underway on Tuesday 23rd April. It’s an amazing place to visit – and filled with opportunities to donate to Relay for Life.

The Earth Day Hunt at the Tinies Outpost and Sky Mall runs only through April 22, so you’ll have to be quick to get to it, but if you are a tinies fan, you’ll want to hop to it!

Contrastingly the Easter Egg Hunt at Botanica will run until the Orthodox celebration May 5.

The St George and the Dragon Hunt, which finishes up on the 23, and the 7th Unknown Hunt, running until the 30th, are both loaded a wide variety of gifts. While the Mr Hunter Hunt focuses strictly on menswear.
